Sulphur Dioxide: Environmental Effects, Fate and Behaviour

This document is one of a series of documents that presents the scientific assessment of environmental effects, fate and behaviour of sulphur dioxide that will be used for review of the existing objective. The main objective of this report is to provide a review of scientific and technical information on sulphur dioxide related to the following areas: physical and chemical properties, health effects of sulphur dioxide on animals, effects of sulphur dioxide on materials, and currently used monitoring techniques.
