Bow River Basin - Water Supply Forecasts

As of February 1, 2008, natural runoff volumes for the March to September 2008 period are forecast to be near average in the Elbow, Kananaskis, Spray and Cascade River basins, below average to average in the Highwood River basin and below average at Banff and Calgary (Table 4). Current natural runoff volume forecasts range from 88 to 98% of average in the basin, and for the Bow River at Calgary it would rank 31st lowest in 91-years of record (1912-2001).
