Mountain Water Supply Forecast Summary

Near average natural runoff volumes are forecast for the March to September 2007 period in the Milk River basin. February's report will contain initial monthly water supply forecasts for the Oldman, Bow, Red Deer and North Saskatchewan River basins as well as for the plains areas of the province.

This forecast assumes that precipitation over the remainder of the winter period and through the summer period will be normal. Precipitation will have a major impact on the water supply forecast between now and the end of September. Streamflow volume forecasts will be updated monthly until mid-summer. Check our Forecaster's Comments throughout the month for updated information regarding runoff conditions.
