Reservoir Storage Conditions

As of July 1, 2005, water storage in the major irrigation reservoirs in the Oldman River basin is above normal. Water storage in the basin is greater than at this time last year.

Water storage as of July 1, 2005 in the major hydroelectric and irrigation reservoirs of the Bow River basin is above normal, except for Ghost Reservoir, which is below normal, and Spray Lake, which is normal. Water storage is generally greater than or similiar to storage last year at this time.

Water storage in the major reservoir of the Red Deer River basin is normal. Water storage in the Dickson Reservoir is less than at this time last year.

Storage volumes in the major hydroelectric reservoirs in the North Saskatchewan River basin are above normal. Water storages in both reservoirs, Lake Abraham and Brazeau Reservoir, are much greater than last year at this time.

In the Athabasca River basin, the storage volume is normal at the South Heart Reservoir. Water storage is much higher than last year at this time.
