Reservoir Storage Conditions

As of December 1, 2004, water storage in the major irrigation reservoirs in the Oldman River basin is above normal except for Waterton Reservoir which is normal. Water storage in the basin is greater than at this time last year.

Water storage as of December 1, 2004 in the major hydroelectric and irrigation reservoirs of the Bow River basin is normal except Lake Minnewanka which is above normal. Water storage is similar to or greater than at this time last year.

Water storage in the major reservoir of the Red Deer River basin is above normal. Water storage in the Dickson Reservoir is slightly greater than last year.

Storage volumes in the major hydroelectric reservoirs in the North Saskatchewan River basin are above normal for Lake Abraham and Brazeau Reservoir. Water storages in both reservoirs are greater than last year at this time.

In the Athabasca River basin, the storage volume at the Paddle River Reservoir is much higher than at this time last year.
