Alberta's River Basins
Alberta is divided into seven major river basins or major river systems, namely the Peace, Athabasca, Hay, North Saskatchewan, South Saskatchewan, Beaver and Milk river basins.

Precipitation Maps Updated Daily/Weekly/Monthly
Precipitation maps show current accumulated precipatation reports for daily, weekly, monthly, and storm events as well as archives.

Mountain Snow Course Data and Historical Rankings Updated monthly during the winter months.
Table and figures display Snow Depth and Water Equivalent data and statistics for selected mountain locations in Alberta, British Columbia and Montana. A caution against using early season snow data (December and January) to make assessments, as neither is a full data set and typically over half the snow accumulation is yet to come.

Plains Snow Course Data and Historical Rankings Updated monthly during the spring months.
Table, map and figures display Snow Depth and Water Equivalent data and statistics for selected Alberta plains locations.

Provincial Reservoir Storage Summary May 2003 - Updated Daily (PDF)
The Provincial Reservoir Storage Summary Report provides an overview of current reservoir storage conditions by river basin, as well as current capacity as a percent of average and a comparison to last year’s value. Operational reports providing more detail on reservoir storage and outflows are available for the Red Deer , Bow ,Oldman , South Saskatchewan , and Milk River Basins.

Provincial Natural Flow Summary May 2005 - Updated Daily
Provincial Natural Flow Summary Report provides daily natural flow forecasts for various locations in the Bow, Oldman, Red Deer and South Saskatchewan River Basins.
